Cardboard compilation collages.
We studied what different artists are doing to recycle and re-use materials. Then we collected cardboard and got to work on four-by-four's (4"x4" square collages. Topic; "Create a visual representation, or symbol, of something important to you, something worth taking care of."
As you can see by this sampling, responses ranged from the cryptic to the concrete; pyramids, flowers and teddy bears to smiley faces and nick-names.
Despite complaints of the difficulty of working with cardboard boxes, everyone was impressed with the results when all the individual squares were arranged in a grid, mounted, and hung in the hall!

Hand it to You, Hand it to Me!
